Welcome to my monthly round up of my work both in parliament and in the constituency of Na h-Eileanan an Iar.

Scottish Election:
There was a fantastic start to May with the election of Donald MacKinnon as our new Labour MSP for Na h-Eileanan an Iar.
I look forward to working closely with Donald to ensure that islanders benefit from a strong, united voice representing their interests both in Westminster and in Edinburgh.
Neart na dithis!
In the constituency:
Listening: surgeries in Ness, Stornoway, Harris.
Talking: meetings with Comhairle nan Eilean Siar post-election.
Shouting: Campaigning on Benbecula Bank of Scotland closure including writing to the chairman of the Lloyds Banking Group requesting a meeting.
In Westminster:
Listening: raised constituents’ concerns on future of North Sea.
Talking: called for community energy priority on island interconnector.
Shouting: ‘Not now, Andy’ as Black Rod banged door at State Opening.
