Dear islander, It has been an honour to represent you in Parliament over the last year. You are my boss, so I think it is important to update you on what I have been up to. I hope I have proved to be a new voice for Na h-Eileanan an Iar as I have raised your concerns on the floor of the House of Commons, with Government Ministers, and in the media over the last 12 months. Constituency campaigningÂ
Here are a few of the constituency campaigns I've undertaken since being elected in 2024. I’ve spoken out on the ferry crisis in Uist and continue pressing for compensation for island businesses: MP in plea for Barra public services support I have co-ordinated meetings on the lack of school and hospital building programme in Barra, and took Scottish Labours’ Jackie Baillie to the islands to hear directly about health concerns. Etherton Review
